Bio

Andrea Rexilius is the author of five full-length books, Séance of the Bees (2026), Sister Urn (2019), New Organism: Essais (2014), Half of What They Carried Flew Away (2012), To Be Human Is To Be A Conversation (2011), four chapbooks, Variant: The Star’s in the Lake (2026), Séance (2014), To Be Human (2010), Afterworld (2020), and the editor of two anthologies, We Can See Into Another Place: Mile-High Writers on Social Justice (2024), and The Braided River: Activist Rhizome. She holds an M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2005), and a Ph.D. in English & Literary Arts from the University of Denver (2010). Andrea is the Program Director for Regis University’s Low-Residency Mile-High MFA in Creative Writing. She also teaches in the Poetry Collective at Lighthouse Writers Workshop in Denver, Colorado.
